Seven Clans Casino – Visitor Guide
Seven Clans Casino: For those who enjoy taking the family on their gambling journeys, the indoor water park at the Thief River Falls Seven Clans Casino in Minnesota is a welcome diversion. At 40,000 square feet, the facility is fairly small when compared with some of the mega indoor water park resorts in Wisconsin Dells and elsewhere. However, the park has enough activities to entertain young children while parents relax in one of the two large hot tubs. Or, the water park could keep older kids happy while Mom and Dad try their luck at the blackjack tables and slot machines.
While it lacks the big-ticket attractions of larger places (such as the the Zip Coaster at the Kalahari Indoor Water Park resort in Sandusky, Ohio), the Thief River Falls park does offer water park essentials such as water slides. Because it is indoors, the climate-controlled park offers year-round water park fun.
In 2019, the Seven Clans Casino renovated the water park, adding new attractions, updating the decor, introducing complimentary lockers, and making the pool handicapped accessible. The Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians owns and operates the water park and casino resort. The tribe has two additional casino resorts (neither of which offers a water park) in the Minnesota towns of Warroad and Red Lake.
Red Lake Gaming Enterprises, Inc.’s mission is to strive towards leadership in the hospitality and entertainment industry by offering superior service, a great atmosphere, in a safe exhilarating environment. The long-term mission for our Seven Clans Casino properties is to provide superior service and amenities that sets us apart from our competitors.
Slides, Attractions, and Amenities
For older kids and adults, the park features four large water slides, which offer both enclosed and open flumes. Some slides require tubes, while others are body slides. Nearly everyone would enjoy the lazy river, the hot tubs, and the swimming pool. For younger children, there are three mini slides as well as a wading pool with swings, and a splash pad with interactive water elements.
In addition to the water park attractions, there is an arcade (to train kids as future slot machine warriors, perhaps?). Introduced in 2019, the Thief River Falls water park also offers a rock climbing wall.
Hotel amenities include the casino (obviously) with 650 gaming machines and live blackjack tables. The resort also offers banquet facilities and a gift shop. Among the 151 hotel rooms are 60 suites, some of which boast fireplaces and in-room Jacuzzis.
What’s to Eat?
There is a snack bar in the water park that serves pizza, hot dogs, chicken strips, ice cream, milkshakes, and slushies. Diners at the full-service River Road Cafe can order items a la carte or indulge in the buffet. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Entrees include burgers, steaks, and fish. The Triple Sevens counter-service restaurant serves pizza by the slice and whole pies, sandwiches, soups, salads, and ice cream.
